I work on both an hourly and project basis, but not per word. Great copywriting requires a lot of research because I look at your current website, analyse your competitors and audience in-depth, and find the right keywords for your site.
Cheap copywriters quote per word, but that often means they don’t do any research to ensure your copy is original and tailored to the right audience.
As an idea, I charge £25 per hour, but I can also quote on a project basis. My content strategy services are a set fee; you can see the rates here.
It entirely depends on your unique copywriting needs. I’m a quick writer and will always be upfront and honest about how long it will take me. Creating one page of copy will take me less time than ten pages, but I also have to factor in research and SEO analysis.
In most cases, creating copy for a standard website of up to 10 pages will take me one to two weeks at most.
